Dell Children’s Hospital – Innovation Challenge
When it comes to patient care, it’s often the frontline staff that have the deepest insights into opportunities for innovation and improvement. Hospitals spend millions of dollars every year searching for solutions without tapping into the greatest innovation resource they have: their people. Providing them with the resources needed to turn their insights into solutions can reap rewards for patients, health care organizations, and their teams.
Healthcare staff engagement at Dell Children’s Medical Center
Verb partnered with leaders at Seton Healthcare to engage 2,000 doctors, nurses, and technical staff at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The Innovation Challenge gave them the tools, support and rewards to bring their best ideas to improve hospital practices to life — and they rose to the challenge, tackling some of the biggest challenges their industry faces.
If you can create a culture of empowerment and innovation inside of a hospital, what a transformation it could have — both for all the people who work there, and for the patients and families who come. –Suzi Sosa, Co-founder and CEO, Verb
With our powerful learning platform, skill building challenges, innovation workshops, and one-on-one mentoring, we helped staff of all backgrounds to articulate their insights and to design, prototype, and pitch their unique solutions. These resulted in real products and business models that were implemented; in fact, several of the ideas were filed for IP protection.
